Low energy spin-wave dispersion in the itinerant helimagnet FeP
In our previous IN8 experiment, we performed measurements of the FeP single crystal in the $(HHL)$ scattering plane and obtained a detailed map of the spin-wave dispersion along the direction in momentum space that connects the magnetic satellites of the structurally forbidden (110) wave vector, which allowed us to determine the anisotropy gap We also attempted measurements in the vicinity of the nonequivalent, structurally allowed, (002) wave vector, but they were contaminated by the spurious scattering at higher energies (see experimental report). Here we suggest to complete this measurement by mapping out the dispersion around the (101) direction, equivalent to (002), with the sample reoriented in the (H0L) scattering plane. This would also allow us to measure the dispersion along the H direction, which was not possible in the previously used experimental geometry.
